BEWARE : Common Facebook Attacks , that can lead to your Account Hijack
So, we all use Facebook almost everyday , it has now become an essential part of our social life... & is the most used along with Google... right?
When we talk about Internet, the most important aspect that comes around is "Privacy" concerns. As an internet user, & in order to maintain secure-ness around, its our duty to stay alert & take notice of every external action, affecting the system or a network.
But, how many of us really take care of these things , when it comes to social networking sites like Facebook ?
There are numerous ways in which a hacker can take control of someone's account via some cheap tricks , Five of them are very common, but most of Us never noticed them, & got befooled..
Read below & try to ignore these in future :---
(1) - Many of us get a notice of Photo Tag, If you get so, Do not open that at all.
(2) - If you get a notification that a friend reported you for offensive behavior, etc.. Do not open it.
(3) - This one is truly common, and i bet most of us have tried to do this, ->> a Video saying 99% of People can not watch this for more the 15 Sec & blah blah!!!.......... Do not open the link.
(4) - All Messages from your friends(the ones you don't interact much or whom you don't trust) via chat, asking you to click this
link, etc, etc..... Never Open those links.
(5) - Nowadays u must have seen a no. of links on FB claiming to be PROFILE VIEWERS that can tell who viewed your profile, & how many times in a Day... Trust me that's a Bu*****t . There is no such thing on Facebook. They are Malwares, designed as a Plugin or Add-ons for browsers like Chrome & Mozilla, which once installed, start posting things like "who viewed your profile" along with random friends names, automatically, on your behalf . Also, you'll notice some pages "Liked" automatically on your behalf & Its damn frustrating....
All these above Worms are designed & made to access your personal information and sometimes, even to hack your accounts.
The only way to protect yourself from these is to ignore them and not to click on them.
So, in future take care of these small things & Stay Safe. :-)
